The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Enviable Group, Chief Chukwuemeka Enviable Ituma, has been named the Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Vanguard Media Limited in recognition of his outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship, transportation, mobility innovation, employment generation and economic development in Nigeria.

The prestigious recognition, which forms part of the Vanguard Personality of the Year Awards, celebrates Ituma’s entrepreneurial accomplishments, visionary leadership and commitment to building sustainable businesses across critical sectors of the Nigerian economy.

Speaking during the Presentation of the award letter to Enviable, Charles Kumolu who headed the Vanguard team noted that the award acknowledges his remarkable transformation from an entrepreneur with direct experience in Nigeria’s transportation sector into the founder of a diversified business conglomerate with interests spanning transportation, logistics, mobility, oil and gas, digital platforms, industrial supply and strategic investments.

According to Kumolu: “The Board of Editors of Vanguard Media Limited is pleased to inform you that you have been selected as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year.”

He noted that the recognition was informed by Ituma’s entrepreneurial drive, innovative leadership and outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s transportation, mobility and business development landscape.

Over the years, Kumolu said Ituma has demonstrated an uncommon passion for entrepreneurship, identifying opportunities within Nigeria’s transportation industry and developing business models designed to address mobility challenges while creating economic opportunities for individuals and businesses.

Through Enviable Group, he has continued to champion innovative transportation solutions, leveraging technology, strategic partnerships and business expansion to strengthen the country’s mobility value chain.

One of the significant milestones highlighted by Vanguard was the strategic partnership between Enviable Tricycle Auto Parts Limited and TVS Motor Company, an international automobile manufacturer.

The partnership, according to Vanguard, further demonstrates Ituma’s commitment to strengthening vehicle accessibility, improving mobility services and creating opportunities within Nigeria’s transportation value chain.

Responding during the presentation of his Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award letter, Enviable emphasised the importance of recognising individuals who have demonstrated excellence, innovation and commitment to societal development.

According to him, genuine recognition has the potential to inspire positive change, transform mindsets and encourage individuals to make greater contributions to national development.

“I have always maintained that it is important to appreciate people, recognise their efforts and acknowledge their contributions to society, regardless of the capacity in which they serve.

“An award is not just about receiving a plaque or certificate. It is about acknowledging the impact someone is making in society and appreciating their contributions towards national development,” he stated.

Enviable further stressed that merit and credibility must remain the fundamental principles guiding the selection of award recipients, noting that the prestige associated with international awards is largely attributable to their perceived commitment to excellence.

“Why do we celebrate the Grammy Awards and other prestigious international recognitions? It is because we believe they are influential, credible and based on merit. Merit is extremely important because it gives recognition its true value.

“I also remember the African leadership recognition initiative associated with Pastor Chris, which identified and celebrated outstanding young Africans who were genuinely committed to making a difference in their communities.

“Such initiatives go beyond presenting awards. They encourage young people to embrace leadership, develop their potential and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of society,” he added.

He commended initiatives that celebrate outstanding entrepreneurs and emerging leaders, describing them as important platforms for promoting innovation, enterprise development and responsible leadership.

Enviable maintained that recognising hardworking and visionary young Nigerians would not only inspire the recipients but also motivate other aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue excellence, create employment opportunities and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.

He further noted that when awards are genuinely based on merit, they become instruments of positive transformation capable of inspiring an entire generation towards greater accomplishments.
