The Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA) has increased its membership strength through the induction of 150 qualified persons as new members.

At the ceremony, which took place in Lagos, recently, the institute’s President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Festus Oshoba, congratulated the newly inducted members for joining the league of professional administrators.

He urged them to be good ambassadors of the institute and the administration’s profession, by adhering to the code of ethics in their places of work, as well as placing public or employers’ interest above self interest.

Noting that the CIA was founded in 1987 and chartered by Act No. 103 of 1992 (Now Cap C7, LFN 2004), he added that the institute is empowered to regulate the training and practice of administration within a professional framework in Nigeria.

The ceremony saw the upgrading of the membership from associate to full membership grade and from full membership to the prestigious fellowship grade.
