CIPM appoints new registrar, chief executive

The Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has announced the appointment of Oluwatoyin Naiwo as Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the institute.

The Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has announced the appointment of Oluwatoyin Naiwo as Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the institute.

Her appointment was effective September 12, 2022. A statement by the institute, said Naiwo is a committed senior executive and Human Resource (HR) practitioner, as well as a consultant with a comprehensive and strategic understanding of business and technical issues.

Her diverse experience in human resource management spans over 28 years period across industries and sectors in the United Kingdom and Nigeria.

According to the CIPM President, Olusegun Mojeed, “Ms. Naiwo is no newcomer to the CIPM, having served as Director, Strategy, Advocacy and Stakeholder Relations, with the responsibility of driving the institute’s strategy development and execution process, thus spearheading the institute’s role in advocating legislative agenda on human capital matters with the Nigerian government.

“She’ll build and maintain relationships with federal and state governments and non-governmental institutional stakeholders, both within Nigeria and internationally to extend CIPM’s reach and influence.”

Similarly, the institute has also appointed Gbenga Odetunde as Director, Professional Standards and Development and Olutayo Olawale as Director, Membership and Market Development.

Naiwo has extensive leadership experience across industries and sectors and has demonstrated her ability to build successful organisations and businesses.

Concluding, Mojeed said: “We are confident that the new team will be a force in developing and driving CIPM forward in line with our vision to be the institute of choice for people management.”
