Firm to empower women with enterprise challenge

In furtherance of its commitment to motivate, showcase, promote and empower female led startups, Parliamo Bambini, a baby comfort and lifestyle company has announced plans to empower women through her ‘AGS Enterprise Challenge for women’.

Sponsored by Platform capital, the challenge aims to reward three female entrepreneurs with grants and prizes that can help take their businesses to the next level.

First Prize winner would be rewarded with N1.5 million while second and third would get N1 million and N500, 000 respectively in addition to mentoring and a free office space for a period of one month.

Winners would be selected at the grand finale, which would also feature the launch of a book by Ifedayo Durosinmi – Etti on how African entrepreneurs can access grants and other business opportunities on Wednesday 25th July 2018.

To qualify, participants are expected to make a one-minute video on Instagram with information about their business and why they need funding.

Speaking about the competition, the convener and co-founder of Parliamo Bambini, Ifedayo Durosinmi– Etti said “In business today, storytelling is key and whoever tells a better and more convincing story gets the larger market share; this is the principle that underscores the pitch competition”.

“The challenge began with a call -for-entry on Monday, 16th July 2018.

Participants are expected to upload their videos on Instagram and use the hash tag #AGSTRIBE.”
