International Human Rights Observatory – Africa (IHRO-Africa) has appointed Ambassador Daniel Koussou as Chairman of the Committee on Economic Diplomacy, Trade and Investment for the Nigeria chapter.
He chairs the committee of the Big International Group of World Investment League (BIGWIL) international community of chief executives and the diplomatic forum.
According to the organisation, the appointment comes amid growing industry attention on oil and gas economic diplomacy, trade and investment with policymakers, national oil company executives and energy strategists reportedly intensifying discussions as Nigeria’s influence on the global stage expands.
Koussou, who is the chief executive officer and founder of Dau-O-Gik Oil and Gas, was named as one of the experts expected to lead the discussions under the aegis of IHRO-Africa through the forum’s Nigeria chapter.
Recognised as a prominent youth figure in diplomacy and business, for his leadership experience in both sectors, IHRO-Africa said the committee will focus on advancing dialogue around economic diplomacy, trade relations, and investment flows, particularly in the context of Nigeria’s expanding international economic footprint.
According to the organisation, the initiative is aimed at empowering emerging business leaders, strengthening global partnerships and contributing to Africa’s economic transformation, while positioning Nigeria as a key player in international business relations.
