Olukunle Iyanda emerges as NIM president

Prof Olukunle Iyanda has emerged the new President of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) following the election of new officers.

Prof Olukunle Iyanda has emerged the new President of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) following the election of new officers.

Prof Olukunle would oversee the affairs of the Institute for the next two years.

He emerged as the 21st President and Chairman of Council of the Institute. Until the elections, Iyanda was the Institute’s Deputy President.

Mrs Pat Anabor, who was elected Deputy President, was former first female Registrar and Chief Executive of the Institute while Major Gen. Iyanda Muraina (Rtd) is now the National Treasurer.

Iyanda is a renowned university don and professor of International Business Management and Marketing. He was also a former Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan

According to a statement signed by the Registrar and Chief Executive of the Institute, Mr Tony Fadaka, the investiture of the new President and Chairman of Council which will be witnessed by members of the Institute, representatives of other professional bodies, government and corporate bodies will take place on December 14, 2017 at MUSON Centre, Lagos.

The new President, who has been serving the Institute in various capacities for many years, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Lagos with other higher certificates abroad. He has over 40 years of professional and managerial experiences.
