The Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and the Nigeria-Britain Association (N-BA) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen capacity building, management and leadership development.
The partnership is also expected to expand professional development, youth mentoring and employability, business networking, knowledge exchange and access to training opportunities for members of both organisations.
The MoU, signed by the Registrar/Chief Executive of NIM, Dr Taiwo Olusesi, and President of N-BA, Ademola Sanya, provides a framework for both organisations to collaborate on management and leadership excellence, professional and lifelong learning, as well as networking opportunities.
Speaking at the signing ceremony held at the Management House, Lagos, the President and Chairman of Council of NIM, Commodore Abimbola Ayuba (rtd.), described the agreement as a strategic synergy that would create value for members and other stakeholders.
Ayuba said the partnership would support the development of joint conferences, lectures, seminars and networking opportunities, while also promoting youth development, mentoring and employability.
He added that the agreement would facilitate business, professional and institutional networking, encourage knowledge exchange and thought leadership, and provide access to professional development opportunities offered by both organisations.
Sanya described the partnership as a welcome development, noting that the areas of collaboration would include management and leadership development, annual lectures and thought leadership, joint programmes for N-BA members, as well as professional development and training.
Under the agreement, which takes immediate effect, the organisations will also collaborate on membership and networking opportunities, youth development, business and entrepreneurship networking, research, knowledge and publications, as well as the exchange of speakers, faculty and experts.
