Solarin becomes fellow of International Pharmaceutical Federation

Nigerian Pharmacist, Sola Solarin has joined eight pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists from seven different countries to become a fellow of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).

Nigerian Pharmacist, Sola Solarin has joined eight pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists from seven different countries to become a fellow of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
 
Solarin, an industrial pharmacist, is the third Nigerian to be honoured by the FIP, global body for four million pharmacists globally.
   
Others include, late Sam Agboifo, a former vice president of the FIP, and Azubuike Okwor, a former president of the African Pharmacists forum.
 

 
He was awarded the fellowship at the FIP council meeting held on September 17, 2021.
   
Solarin is the Managing Partner of Savante Consulting Limited and the current President of the Industrial Pharmacy Section of the federation. 
   
The fellowship award is recognition of individual members of FIP who have exhibited strong leadership internationally and have distinguished themselves in the pharmaceutical sciences and/or practice of pharmacy.
   
Other areas include the individual’s contribution to the advancement of the pharmaceutical sciences and/or practice or pharmacy, and who have served FIP.
