Nigerian Arts enthusiasts and young artists have lauded works and masterpieces of Sylvester Aguddah as he showcased and told African stories through arts.

The three-day Arts of Heart exhibition held at Radisson Blu lkeja Lagos ran from 12pm-6pm.  Speaking on the reason for the exhibition, Aguddah, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Sylverscreen Integrated Concepts Limited, disclosed that the Arts of Heart include media art, collage, mixed media, digital painting, sketches, photo art and photography.

He urged government to build and fund art villages, revive textile and paint industries and also provide electricity. He disclosed that he is a God taught artist, adding that he didn’t attend any arts school or taught by any mentor.

Collectors of his works spread across Africa, Europe, Australia, America and Asia. A musician, actor, model and entrepreneur, Bobby Onafuye Abolade, said he sees arts as an essential tool for expression.

He said that the Arts of Heart exhibition “interprets where l came from and how original I am being Black. He urged every African that has a niche for the art industry to do more by patronising the African arts wears and healthy cultures, stressing that Africa is blessed with a lot of human and material resources that are not well harnessed.

Another artist, Kafayat Quadri, said: “We all as art enthusiasts, art lovers and collectors had wonderful experience and appreciated Sylvester Aguddah’s creative handiwork. We are grateful for his platform; for empowering young and talented artistes to be relevant and be at par with our foreign counterparts.”

Helena Yanenwen Nelson, an actress, dancer, tatoo lover and advocate proudly showcased the tattoo on her body to appreciate and tell her art story.

Curator and Chief Executive Officer of AFRORNAMENTS brand, lfeanyichukwu Oraemeka, said the Arts of Heart exhibition explores unconventional conceptions of love manifested across the realms of human experience, the likes of beauty, hope, God, religious tolerance, life celebrations, cultures, amongst others.
