At Thought Pyramid, Olotu’s Moods Relic of Courage opens today

Moods Relic of Courage, a contemporary art exhibition by Jude Olotu, would be officially opened to the general public today at the Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Abuja. The facility, strategically located in the heart of the Federal Capital Territory, is one of the major visual arts exhibition centres in the city. The exhibition, which is presented by Excel Signature, is expected to open daily until April 18.

The artist, Olotu, who has participated in group and individual exhibitions in Nigeria, has also been engaged in several international outing in recent times. He has exhibited at the World Art Dubai exhibition, New York Art Expo as well as in France, showcasing his unique style of eclectic art. His entrance into the international space was considered an explosion of accolades from the international community and peers, who deeply appreciated the creative ingenuity of a true master of the arts.

Olotu’s art pieces were said to have stood out among the best in a plethora of exhibited works on a world stage at the just concluded world art Dubai exhibition. Excel Signature describes Olotu’s Dubai outing as a matter of mixed feelings. According to the creative hub, the works were a marvel to behold but the “Non-sale campaign left a taste of wants in the mouths of curators and art lovers alike.”

The hub added in it’s statement: “The genius, Olotu, has created and nurtured many talents and students of the arts, which has led to the creation of Excel Signature Creative Hub in Abuja.

“The creative hub is a place where creative artists are nurtured in fine arts, digital arts, metal art, wood art, sculpture, product design, cinematography and production, music as well as photography. The artists are also given exposure on national and international scales.

“The hub is already paying dividends to the society as an array of talents are being filled regularly due to the mentorship and tutelage of the art maestro himself.
”Olotu hails from the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. His love for arts was said to have started when he was a child, growing up in the city of Jos, where the landscape was as though it was painted on a canvas.
