A wide-ranging choral set becomes one of the Lagos finale’s defining moments

Nobody at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel, came for a concert. They came for Bovi: Guilty as Charged, the Lagos finale of Bovi’s 2026 world tour, which followed sold-out dates in the United Kingdom and Canada. Then Loud Urban Choir took the stage, and the room found out it was getting a little more than a night of laughter.

The choir moved through a range of songs, blending rich harmonies with the rhythms of modern Nigerian music. Layered, tightly blended voices filled the hall, and a crowd already warm from the laughs responded with cheers and singing along.

The performance is the latest in a busy 2026 for the choir. Months earlier, it released a choral cover of “The Angel (North London Forever),” the Louis Dunford anthem adopted as Arsenal’s pre-match song at the Emirates Stadium. The cover drew attention from football fans and music lovers online. On the night Arsenal faced Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League Final, the choir performed at two of Lagos’s biggest celebrations: the Chivas Regal Arsenal Watch Party, which also featured M.I Abaga, and the Heineken Watch Party and After Party at Eko Hotels. Moving from football nights to a comedy finale shows the range that makes Loud Urban Choir a choice for premium brands and marquee events, and the Guilty as Charged audience was among the latest to see it.
