The Nigerian music industry is one to be very proud of as it places Nigeria as a force to be reckoned with globally. Nigerian music has put Nigeria in a positive light in the sense that foreigners are fast appreciating its genius sounds. In this industry we have many talented rising alternate artists such as Jude Brown Tamunoibim, who goes by Staqk G.

He hails from Rivers state, Nigeria. He was born and bred in Ibadan and at a tender age of 16, he knew he was passionate about developing his career as a HIP HOP/ AFRO BEAT artist.

In a bid to pursue his dream, he moved to Lagos and he displayed his exceptional lyrical skill in the 2017 HENESSEY CYPHER, where he features alongside Falz, Dremo, Ladipoe and Yoye.
As an independent artist, STAQK G has officially been pushing his art since 2018 with his first digitally distributed single ASHIMALOWO which has led to his latest single WAY

Staqk G trended all over the country when he let love lead his art by rapping for deaf children on valentine’s day. The video of his kind act surfaced online and so many people praised him for doing the nice thing he did.

Music to him is his place of peace, he deftly uses his music to communicate his thought process and emotions. This is why he believes that even the deaf should not be left out in experiencing music, which is why he went ahead to perform for them.

He also believes it is a medium used to preserve history and went ahead to release a single titled ‘MASSACRE’  depicting the struggles the Nigerian youth faced in the 2020 #endsars protest against police brutality in Nigeria. MASSACRE condones the continuous oppression and disregard of the Nigerian youths.

His song WAY which is currently doing numbers in social media spaces is from his upcoming EP ROMANS 8:18. The EP is an infusion of rap with Afro- beat elements and trap ones. The sound will largely be influenced by drill music too about expedient and hope in a brighter future.

Staqk G is largely influenced by 2pac, 50 cents, Biggie, Kanye west, J-cole and Jay- Z and Vector.

The rising star is ready to take on the Nigerian music industry by a storm.
