India’s Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, has resigned following weeks of youth protests over a series of examination paper leaks.

 

“I have sent my resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Pradhan said on Saturday.

 

The resignation comes amid mounting public outrage over alleged irregularities in national examinations, which sparked protests by students and youth groups across parts of India.
