NCAA grants aircraft maintenance license to Flybird

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has granted an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) certification to Flybird Aircraft Management Services Limited, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to operational excellence, safety, and service delivery.

With this certification, Flybird is now officially authorized to carry out aircraft maintenance services in line with stringent national and international aviation standards. The approval further strengthens Flybird’s capacity to provide comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions to both its managed fleet and third-party operators.

Speaking on the development, Captain Ahmed Borodo, CEO of Flybird, stated:
“This approval is a strategic achievement for Flybird as we continue to build a full-service aviation platform. Our clients can now rely on our in-house technical capabilities for faster turnaround times, higher maintenance standards, and increased operational reliability. We thank the NCAA for their support and confidence in our systems and personnel.”

Paulina Ogbaji, Line and Base Maintenance Manager at Flybird, added:
“This certification is a validation of the hard work and dedication of our maintenance team. We have consistently maintained high technical standards, and this milestone reflects our readiness to support a growing fleet with safe and efficient maintenance operations.”

The AMO certification positions Flybird among the few private jet companies in Nigeria with NCAA-approved maintenance capabilities, reinforcing its leadership in business aviation services across the West African region.
