CITING the need for global competitiveness, organisers of Outstanding Women in Africa Awards have argued improved capacity building for women entrepreneurs to perform efficiently in the changing business environment.

The organisers noted that with women-owned businesses thriving, there is a need to develop their capacity for global impact in a sustainable manner.

The President, Outstanding Women in Africa Awards, Mrs Success Abu-Idris, noted that the forthcoming awards themed, “Creating a better future for women,” scheduled to hold on October 3rd, in Lagos, would challenge Nigerian women to discover their purpose and to make a difference in society.

In her words: “Every woman has potentials bestowed in her. Women must identify those potentials and utilize them for the good of the society. All the awardees have met the required criteria to be awarded. They have contributed immensely to the entrepreneurial development of widows and the girl child in the society.”

She said all is set for the awards aimed at celebrating women who have done tremendously to transform lives positively in the society.

Top dignitaries and entrepreneurs, who have contributed significantly to drive entrepreneurship development in Nigeria are expected to be at the ceremony.
