The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has honoured three of its officers for their outstanding performance, professionalism and commitment to managing traffic across the state.

The recipients are Ajayi Bembe Babatunde, Zonal Head, Zone B; Adebanjo Alade, Comptroller, Apapa; and Age Luqman, Zonal Head, Bariga/Iyana-Oworo.

The officers received the Award of Outstanding Exemplary Performance from City Herald Magazine at the LASTMA headquarters in Oshodi, Lagos.

The award recognised their dedication to duty and contributions to traffic management, road safety and public service.

Speaking at the presentation, LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, commended City Herald Magazine for recognising the officers and highlighting the efforts of personnel working to keep traffic moving across the state.

Bakare-Oki said LASTMA officers operate under demanding conditions, managing traffic, responding to road incidents and promoting safety on Lagos roads.

He said recognising individual performance would further strengthen the agency’s commitment to professionalism, accountability and discipline in the discharge of its responsibilities.

The LASTMA boss urged the award recipients to sustain their commitment to duty and encouraged other officers to emulate their dedication to public service.

He noted that excellence in public service should be measured not only by the responsibilities assigned to an officer but also by the quality and impact of the work delivered.

The ceremony was attended by LASTMA officials and representatives of City Herald Magazine, who joined in celebrating the three officers for their contributions to traffic management and public service in Lagos.
