Osinbajo to flag off Lagos-Ibadan railway line
As part of plans to raise the level of critical infrastructure necessary to boost the economy, Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is to perform groundbreaking exercise to mark the commencement of the construction of Lagos-Ibadan railway line next Tuesday.
The Lagos-Ibadan railway line is the second segment of the Lagos-Kano Standard Gauge Railway System, which also connects to the Lagos Port Complex, Apapa.
“The historic event which will take-off by 11:00 am at the Ebute-Metta Railway terminal, Lagos will be attended by important dignitaries cutting across the spectrum of the society including state governors, captains of industry and stakeholders in the transportation sector”.

Good Move, and please let it be a decent, modern and contemporary rail line and not old smoky locomotives, that people can board for decent trips back and forth as an alternative to road transport, as it obtains in other developed countries. It may help decongest the Lagos-Ibadan heavy road traffic, and its safer than road transport.
