Ziggy Xolane, African titan of 2021
As the year gradually winds up, Ziggy Xolane by his activities in the financial and philanthropy space, has positioned himself to be included in the 2021 list of who’s who of Africa.
His strides in the financial sector stand him out as a titan. On the financial front, he has become one of the influential figures in this year’s digital economy space, courtesy of his newly-launched digital bank, DafriBank, which went live in July but quickly became the bank of choice for digital entrepreneurs across the continent.
The revolutionary fintech company, a subsidiary of DafriGroup PLC, has given Africa’s new army of digital entrepreneurs a platform of fast and seamless payment options that defies borders. With operations in over 180 countries around the world, DafriBank, is aptly described as “digital entrepreneurs’ dream.”
Confirming the rapid growth of his bank, Ziggy Xolane, via his instagram account, @xolanendhlovu posted on July 27: “ The operations of DafriBank have continued to spread across the world with its presence being greatly felt in over 180 countries. Recently, the DafriGroup chairman and DafriBank CEO, further gave a hint of how he has developed over the years. His post as @xolanendhlovu reads: “I registered my first company back in 2007. Ziggy Entertainment CC; 14 years later, if you run my name through CIPC you will probably pick up nearly 15 companies both public and private entities with 12 corporate accounts in 5 different countries. We directly and indirectly employed 130 people around the globe and continue to grow by strength with the recent formation of DafriHoldings UK to support our European expansion.”
