Alkhaleeq marks 20, seeks promotion of peace and love

Members of Alkhaleeq Muslim Society of Nigeria recently marked its 20th year anniversary with a theme on love and peaceful co-existence amongst Muslim and non-Muslim faithful

Members of Alkhaleeq Muslim Society of Nigeria recently marked its 20th year anniversary with a theme on love and peaceful co-existence amongst Muslim and non-Muslim faithful in Nigeria and beyond.

Founded in March 2002 with a vision to be one of the foremost organisations for the propagation of Islam, the membership has grown from 100 to over 3,000.

According to the custodian/founder, Alhaji Mikhail Atanda Erinfolami, the society’s corporate social responsibilities include, empowerment of youths, indigents as well as scholarship awards to students in secondary schools and tertiary institutions, provision of grants to small scale entrepreneurs, mentoring and counseling.

He added that Alkhaleeq Muslim Society of Nigeria is registered with the Muslim Community of Lagos State and Muslim Ummah of Southwest (MUSWEN).

According to him, “we are poised to do more with the construction of an Islamic and Quranic Educational Center within our mosque complex.”

He disclosed that the Society is endowed with a God-fearing Board of Trustees as well as a competent and experienced Board of Patrons.

In his lecture, Associate Professor of Islamic Ethical and Contemporary Studies, Lagos State University (LASU), Fadeelat Usyadh Abdulkabir Olawale Paramole, urged members to eschew greed and be contented with whatever they have. He expressed his happiness with the achievements of Alkhaleeq Muslim Society of Nigeria and commended the Founder for his outstanding sterling leadership qualities.

The Society’s Board of Patrons includes Chairman, Alhaji Abdulkakeem Huthman, Vice Chairman (Islamic Affairs) Prof. Kamaldeen Balogun, Vice Chairman (Administration) and Alhaji Sulaiman AbdulRahman. Others are, Imam Alhaji Saheed Lawal, Alhaji Braimah Bashir Ademuyiwa, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abubakar Boladale, Oluwafemi Bakare and Tijani Quazeem Olayinka.
