The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Edo State Branch, has felicitated with the management and staff of Edo Specialist Hospital headed by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Anthonia Inibokun Njoku, on the celebration of the hospital’s 7th Anniversary, noting that the hospital has grown into a center of excellence, providing quality specialist care.

 

 

Chairman, Nigeria Medical Association Edo State Branch, Dr. Eustace Oseghale made the remarks in Benin during the 7th year anniversary celebration of the Edo Specialist Hospital on Friday.

 

The NMA leadership lauded the Edo State government for the investment in healthcare saying, over the past 7 years, Edo Specialist Hospital has grown into a center of excellence, providing quality specialist care and serving as a referral hub for Edo State and beyond.

 

Dr. Oseghale noted that under the visionary leadership of Governor Monday Okpebholo and the leadership of the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Anthonia Inibokun Njoku, the hospital has made remarkable strides in patient care, staff development, and infrastructural upgrade.

 

Oseghale said, “On behalf of the State Officers’ Committee and the entire membership of the Nigerian Medical Association, Edo State Branch, I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Monday Okpebholo, Executive Governor of Edo State, the Management, and Staff of Edo Specialist Hospital on the celebration of its 7th Anniversary.

 

“Your Excellency, this milestone is a direct reflection of your visionary and transformational leadership in the health sector. Over the past 7 years, Edo Specialist Hospital has grown from a bold idea into a center of excellence and a true pride of Edo State.

 

“Under your administration, the hospital has witnessed remarkable improvements in service delivery, modern infrastructure, expansion of specialist clinics, and improved staff welfare. Your commitment to innovation, discipline, and quality patient care has positioned ESH as a leading referral hospital in the South-South region.

 

“We are particularly grateful to Your Excellency for your sustained investment in health infrastructure, equipment, and human capital. We especially commend and thank you for the establishment and support of Residency Training at Edo Specialist Hospital. This bold initiative is building the next generation of specialists, reducing brain drain, and ensuring that Edo people have access to world-class care at home.”

 

Dr. Oseghale also commended the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Anthonia Njoku, for her exemplary leadership, dedication to service, and relentless drive for excellence.
