The 6th Idowu Sobowale International conference is dissecting nexus between precision journalism, digitisation and democratic development.

Themed, ‘Scientific journalism, digitisation and democratic development in Nigeria,’ the convener, Oludare Ogunyombo, disclosed the conference sub-themes to include, Journalism and media studies; Broadcasting, film and digital media; Political communication and public sphere; Public relations, advertising and strategic communication; Development, health and environmental communication and Communication, education and research.

The full paper submission is October 12, 2026 and registration deadline is October 30, 2026.
Well-researched articles is expected to be considered for publication in a thematic book.

The event is scheduled to hold from November 3 to 5, 2026 at the epartment of Mass Communication, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
