The symposium is organised by the Centre for Media and Communication Research, Pan-Atlantic University in partnership with NNPC Foundation.
According to the Director, Centre for Media and Communication Research School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University, Dr. Nelson Okorie, the event will hold at the main campus of Pan Atlantic University.
To Okorie, the core objectives of the symposium are to proffer solutions on how environment communication can serve as a sustainable intervention to mitigate issues of energy and climate change in the country.
In addition, the event is a Corporate Social Responsibility programme of NNPC Foundation, which is to promote the sustainable development of the Nigerian eco-system.
The special guest is the National President, African Council of Communication Education, Prof. Abdullahi Bashir. The co-panel chair includes Dr. Amina Abana of the University of Maiduguri and Dr. Sunday John of Pan Atlantic University.
Some of the expected guests include, Thomas Samuel of the Taraba State Broadcasting Service and Rasaq Adisa of the University of Ilorin.
