NDYC applauds Danfulani’s appointment as NAIC MD

The Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC) has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Dr. Yazid Shehu Danfulani as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC).

In a statement signed by Comrade Israel Uwejeyan, National Coordinator of NDYC, the organisation noted that the appointment underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to revitalising Nigeria’s agricultural sector and ensuring food security.

The NDYC emphasised that Dr. Danfulani’s appointment is a testament to the President’s belief in the potential of Nigerian youths to drive meaningful change across all sectors of the economy.

Given Dr. Danfulani’s extensive background and experience, the NDYC anticipates that his leadership will bring about transformative changes within NAIC, enhancing its capacity to provide comprehensive insurance coverage to Nigerian farmers and mitigate risks associated with agricultural ventures.

The organisation pledged its full support to Dr. Danfulani and expressed optimism about collaborative efforts that will uplift the livelihoods of farmers in the Niger Delta and beyond.

The statement reads: “ His leadership is anticipated to bring about transformative changes within NAIC, enhancing its capacity to provide comprehensive insurance coverage to Nigerian farmers and mitigate the risks associated with agricultural ventures.

“Under his guidance, we foresee NAIC expanding its outreach, offering more inclusive insurance products, and fostering partnerships that will bolster the resilience of our agricultural sector. This development is particularly significant for the Niger Delta region, where agriculture remains a vital component of our economy and sustenance.

“We are confident that Dr. Danfulani’s appointment will catalyze the modernization of agricultural insurance in Nigeria, aligning with President Tinubu’s vision of a prosperous and food-secure nation. We pledge our full support to Dr. Danfulani and look forward to collaborative efforts that will uplift the livelihoods of farmers in the Niger Delta and beyond.”
