Afri Invoice unveils subscription plans to support NRS e-invoicing drive

Afri Invoice

Afri Invoice, a Nigerian SaaS fintech platform focused on digital invoicing, compliance and payment tracking, has introduced new subscription plans aimed at helping businesses adopt digital invoicing and improve financial record-keeping.

The initiative comes as the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) advances the implementation of electronic invoicing as part of efforts to digitalise tax administration in the country.

Under the NRS e-invoicing framework, businesses can create and submit electronic invoices for validation, receive a Unique Identifier Number (IRN), and securely store and report transactions. The framework also provides for API-based integration with business systems and technology providers.

Afri Invoice said its new subscription structure is designed to help businesses develop the digital capabilities needed to manage invoices, transaction records and tax-related processes more efficiently.

The plans are grouped into four categories — Beginners, Starter, Standard and Premium Corporate — to reflect the needs of businesses at different stages of growth. The Beginners plan is targeted at freelancers, startups and emerging businesses, providing entry-level digital invoicing tools to support the transition from manual to professional invoicing.

The Starter plan is designed for growing businesses and offers increased invoicing capacity, data storage, tax tracking, compliance tools and basic reporting. The Standard plan targets established businesses with regular invoicing needs and includes expanded invoicing capacity, tax and compliance tracking, client management, payment monitoring, reporting, customisable invoice templates and digital document export.

The Premium Corporate plan is designed for larger organisations and high-volume operations, offering broader capabilities for businesses managing multiple operations, users and entities, as well as advanced reporting and compliance infrastructure.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Afri Invoice, Mark Odenore, said the company was seeking to make the transition to digital tax administration more accessible to businesses.

“The transition to digital tax administration requires businesses to also strengthen the way they create, manage and retain transaction records. Our focus is to make that transition more accessible by providing businesses with practical digital invoicing and financial management tools suited to their different stages of growth.”

The company said the initiative would be particularly relevant to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which make up a significant part of Nigeria’s business ecosystem and may require affordable technology solutions as digital compliance requirements evolve.

Afri Invoice said businesses should view electronic invoicing as more than a replacement for paper invoices, arguing that the transition could also improve financial records, strengthen internal processes and provide greater visibility into transactions.

The company added that its subscription plans were intended to complement Nigeria’s broader digitalisation drive by helping businesses organise their invoicing and related financial processes.
The development also comes against the backdrop of changes to Nigeria’s tax administration framework.

The Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025, which commenced on January 1, 2026, lists facilitating tax compliance among the objectives of tax administration.

Afri Invoice said businesses preparing for the emerging digital tax environment should establish reliable systems for invoicing, record management, payment tracking and access to financial information, rather than focusing solely on meeting regulatory requirements.

The company said it would continue to develop technology solutions to support Nigerian businesses as they adapt to the country’s evolving digital tax and business environment.
