Through MATON Engineering Nigeria Limited, Tonlagha created an indigenous enterprise capable of competing at the highest levels. MATON’s expansion into EPC, maritime, security, and real estate services positioned it as a strategic partner in Nigeria’s development. More importantly, it became a source of employment and skills development for thousands of Niger Delta youths, offering alternatives to despair and militancy.

His role as Vice Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited elevated his influence to the national stage. At a time when oil theft threatened Nigeria’s economic survival, Tonlagha helped coordinate operations that protected critical infrastructure and restored production.

The resulting recovery of national revenue was widely acknowledged as a turning point, underscoring the effectiveness of locally driven solutions.
