Bullion Records, one of Nigeria’s foremost music labels, has taken a monumental step in its journey to redefine Afrobeat with the launch of its cutting-edge Music House in Lagos. The grand commissioning ceremony took place on Friday, 6 December 2024, at 29 Abebi Close, Goodwill Estate, Bemil, Ojodu Abiodun, Berger. The event attracted an array of notable figures, music enthusiasts, and media representatives, making it a landmark occasion for the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Femi Aina, Ogun State Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), alongside party dignitaries, including Public Relations Officer Omokehinde Olowu, Ajadi Independent Movement (AIM) convener Idowu Shola Imoleayo, and NNPP Secretary Shakirat Arowolo.

Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, CEO of Bullion Records, expressed his excitement about the milestone, describing the Music House as a dream come true.

“This Music House represents our commitment to providing a platform where talents can thrive and Afrobeat can continue to flourish globally,” Ajadi stated. “Bullion Records is more than a label; it is a family, a movement, and a force for positive change in the entertainment industry.”

Elegbede Ajibola, Managing Director of Bullion Records, echoed similar sentiments, underscoring the facility’s role as more than just a recording studio.

“This is a new chapter for us. The Music House will serve as a hub for nurturing and promoting exceptional talent. We are excited about its potential to shape the future of Afrobeat,” Ajibola said.

Hosted by comedians MC Emmer and African Pencil G, the event also featured comedic entertainment from MC Kirikiri. DJs Dr. Step and Danny Yankee of LASU FM curated the music, keeping the atmosphere lively.

Bullion Records artistes delivered show-stopping performances that underscored the label’s creative prowess. Rising Afrobeat sensation Harcher, a 20-year-old talent recently signed to the label, wowed the audience alongside senior act Kingsley Fortune, popularly known as GyC. Together, they performed their hit tracks, demonstrating the label’s commitment to producing exceptional music.

“This is not just a music house; it is the home of dreams,” Harcher said. “I’m grateful to be part of this journey and promise to make my fans and the label proud.”

GyC, a cornerstone of Bullion Records’ success, lauded the initiative, calling it a testament to the label’s pursuit of excellence.
