Fuji music icon, King Saheed Osupa, has promised to attend one of Burna Boy’s upcoming concerts in appreciation of the Afrobeats star publicly naming him his “GOAT singer.”
Burna Boy, in a recent conversation tagged GOAT Talk with retired tennis legend Roger Federer, had described Osupa as his greatest singer of all time in Fuji genre.
Reacting in a post shared on his X handle on Thursday, Osupa expressed gratitude to Burna Boy, describing the recognition as an honour that goes beyond him and also celebrates Fuji music.
He wrote, “Burna Boy’s heartfelt tribute, naming me as his GOAT singer on a global stage, is a monumental moment that celebrates the soul of Fuji music and its timeless influence. This honour not only uplifts my journey, but also shines a brilliant light on our rich cultural heritage, bridging generations and genres worldwide.”
Fondly called “Oba Orin,” Osupa added that Burna Boy’s words highlighted the power of Nigerian music to unite cultures across the world.

The Fuji star further thanked Burna Boy and his fans for embracing Fuji music, noting that the genre remains an important part of Nigeria’s cultural identity. He also revealed his plans to show up at Burna Boy’s concert to personally commend him.
He added, “I look forward to attending one of your upcoming concerts to appreciate your God-given talents and reciprocate your genuine love and affection. Keep prospering, my beloved Burna. The journey continues, stronger and more radiant than ever.”
