Ingredients
- Ice
- Frozen pineapple
- Cream of coconut
- Coconut milk
- Light rum
Directions
- Dice your pineapple into small chunks.
- Blend the diced pineapple and ice together in a blender until you have a slushy consistency.
- Pour in the coconut milk to give it a creamy texture.
- Add in the cream of coconut.
- Pour in the rum. For that classic Piña Colada kick, add light rum. You can skip this step if you prefer a non-alcoholic version.
- Blend all the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Pour your Piña Colada into a chilled glass. Garnish with a slice of fresh pineapple on the rim of the glass. You can also add a maraschino cherry on top for a pop of colour and extra sweetness.

Additional tips
- Be sure not to mix up “cream of coconut” with “coconut cream”. Cream of coconut is coconut cream processed to form a syrup-like consistency, while coconut cream contains coconut meat with a small amount of water.
- You can leave out the rum and have a virgin Piña Colada.
- Feel free to experiment by adding a splash of lime juice for a tangy twist or a dash of vanilla extract for added depth of flavour.
