After a long day at school or the office, taking off our makeup is often the last thing we feel like doing. However, removing your makeup properly should be a priority you make time for. There are several ways to remove all your makeup without hurting or damaging your skin. If you’re looking for a new way to remove your makeup, to try one of these seven methods.

Makeup Wipes/Baby Wipes

Using makeup remover wipes is one of the most common ways to remove your makeup. There are several of them on the market and they work well for most people. However, if you have sensitive skin, they may be a little too harsh. I’ve found that baby wipes can make for an ultra-hydrating alternative. They’re gentle enough for a baby’s tush so it makes sense that they’re not too harsh for our skin. Try the Beauty Formula’s Argan Oil Cleansing Facial Wipes

Cleansers

Makeup removing cleansers are one of the best things to happen to your skin. These special cleansers can break down your foundation, blush, highlight, and even eyeliner. Some cleansers even help fight acne and blackheads which helps to ensure a clean complexion. Try the Neutrogena, Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil will break down your most stubborn, water-resistant makeup without a ton of scrubbing and pulling at your face. Plus, it’s known for being a great moisturizer. Just rub some on your face and use a gentle cleanser to wash away everything.

Micellar Water

It looks and feels like water but it is actually made up of gentle microscopic oil molecules called micelles suspended in soft water. These micelles attach to dirt, grime, and makeup, and dissolve the bad stuff, while keeping the good stuff on your skin intact. Try the Simple Micellar water.

Milk

Milk baths were a popular regimen for royal women thousands of years ago. The fat and proteins in milk, especially whole milk, can help to hydrate and allow for your skin to retain moisture. Using milk to remove your makeup is simpler and cheaper. Take about a tablespoon olive oil and add it to a bowl of whole milk and rub it all over your face with a wash cloth or cotton ball. It should leave your face makeup-free and refreshed.

Vaseline

Yup! You can use Vaseline to clean your makeup. This mix of waxes and mineral oil helps to clean your eye makeup (including stubborn eyeliner or mascara) and help retains moisture. To remove eye makeup completely, take a small amount of Vaseline on your finger and massage the eye area until all the makeup comes off. Clean away with a tissue or cotton and wash your face.
