Nigerian comedian and filmmaker, Ayodeji Makun, popularly known as AY, has reacted to an AI-generated video making rounds online, which falsely depicts him kissing May Yul-Edochie.
The 53-year-old addressed the issue in a post on his Instagram page on Wednesday night, urging creators of such content to use their talents for positive impact instead of spreading misinformation.
With a hint of amusement, he acknowledged the AI-generated clip, saying, “Dear Online Innovators, As the future leaders and change-makers of Nigeria, I urge you to channel your immense creative talents toward building a better nation rather than tearing each other down.”

AY also took a swipe at the growing trend of online attacks, recalling how Big Brother Naija star, Alex Unusual, was previously targeted.
He questioned why people seemed intent on pushing away those who work with him or try to earn an honest living through him.
He added, “Let’s come together to support one another’s hustles, celebrate our achievements, and inspire a culture of innovation and respect. The future of Nigeria depends on our collective efforts to foster an environment where everyone can thrive.
