2023: Folarin tasks journalists on objective reportage
Governorship candidate of Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 elections, Sen. Teslim Folarin, has charged the media to be objective while reporting activities surrounding the polls.
Folarin told members of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, yesterday that the Nigeria media must have, by now, realised that almost in every instance, an average Nigerian gulps almost everything in the media, hook, line and sinker.
MEANWHILE, Oyo APC has alleged plans by Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to buy votes and perpetrate illegality in the next gubernatorial poll.
In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, APC claimed that going by the information at its disposal, Makinde had concluded plans to identify 50 persons in every polling unit in the state and induce each of them with N50,000 monthly.
