… Rallies support for APC NASS candidates

A support group mobilising for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, BTO4PBAT, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State to replicate the discipline and unity that secured that victory for the party during the 2024 governorship election.

According to the group, party members in the state accepted the leadership’s final decision during the last governorship primary and subsequently set aside personal ambitions to work collectively towards what it described as a resounding electoral victory.

In a statement issued by its Director-General, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, the group argued that the same spirit of loyalty and submission to party authority that delivered Ondo State to the APC must be rekindled across all states if the party is to secure President Tinubu’s re-election and maintain its dominance in 2027.

Adesuyi, however, cautioned that recent internal agitations and inflammatory rhetoric from certain quarters risked eroding spirit of unity within the party, warning that such distractions could undo the gains achieved through the collective discipline that the Ondo primary exemplified.

While commending the APC national leadership for its wisdom and maturity in managing party affairs, the group praised President Bola Tinubu’s intervention in resolving internal disputes, describing his actions as a deliberate effort to foster fairness and inclusiveness in line with the party’s electoral strategy.

The group further emphasised that the APC’s consistent record of electoral victories has been built on the willingness of its members to place the party’s collective interest above personal ambitions, a principle it said was vividly demonstrated in Ondo and must now be applied nationally.

According to the statement, the leadership should not allow itself to be swayed by a minority of individuals whose actions could undermine the party’s image and cohesion, particularly as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

The group maintained that the Ondo experience proved that when members trust the leadership’s decisions and rally behind the chosen candidate, victory becomes not just possible but assured, urging party faithful to exhibit the same level of commitment and discipline in the coming months.

Reaffirming its political commitment, the BTO4PBAT ’27 Support Group pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation across wards and polling units in Ondo State, focusing on strengthening party structures and engaging supporters to deliver what it envisions as the APC’s strongest electoral performance in the state and across the federation.

The organisation expressed confidence that, with the Ondo blueprint as a guiding example and under President Tinubu’s continued leadership, the APC would remain united and well-positioned to secure another decisive victory in the 2027 general elections, provided the party heeds the lessons of its own recent history.
