Advertisers hold awards
The 14th edition of the Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF) Awards holds tomorrow at Landmark Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos. It is organised by the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN). AAAN’s Publicity Secretary, Jenkins Alumona, said the theme for this year’s awards is Tori Tori of LAIF.
The LAIF Awards debuted in 2006 with the aim of recognising, rewarding and fostering creative excellence in all areas of marketing communications. It attracts industry captains, business leaders, policy makers as well as local and international brand luminaries.
AAAN’s President, Mr. Ikechi Odigbo, stated that the honorees at this year’s awards – the late Mr. Sesan Ogunro (a former MD of Eminent Communications Limited) and Mr. Billy Lawson (Chairman, LTC/JWT), have enormously contributed to the business and practice of advertising.
