
Akeredolu, who gave the charge when she consulted the Imo party executives and delegates at the party’s secretariat in Owerri, at the weekend, said: “Only open and fair primaries would produce credible candidates capable of securing victories for our party in the main election.”
She expressed optimism about her capacity to clinch the party’s ticket for the senatorial contest, stressing that the majority of her constituents were committed to her aspiration and project.
She reiterated that her decision to run for the Senate was to represent the female folks, give voice to the voiceless and address the neglect of the district by the previous senators and state administrations.
