Alozie bemoans death of Orlu citizens, sues for peace

The Southeast Chapter Zonal Coordinator,
Atiku Support Organisation, Alozie Alozie, has bemoaned the loss of innocent lives in Orlu, Imo state following a clash between members of the Eastern Security Network and the Nigerian Army.

Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, Alozie blamed the leadership for the present state in the country.

“Today, due to the President’s inability to solve the security situation in the country, Nigerians have taken it upon themselves to provide their own security.

“The level of kidnappings, banditry has reached an unprecedented level. The Eastern Security Network is up and running because the government have failed in its duty to protect Nigerians. ESN is only filling a void left open by government.”

According to Alozie, instead of fighting the group, the government should work with them to chase criminal activities from the Eastern part of the country.

“Nigeria has never been so divided and that is because of the failure of Buhari, he is not a unifier. He has failed Nigerians beyond all reasonable doubt”.

“Nigeria have never been this divided along ethnic lines. All over the country, the Fulani ethnic group have become a scapegoat for the President’s failure simply because he hails from among them.”

He recalled that “We have had Fulani among us for a long time and have not experienced what we are seeing now. This is just a pure case of leadership failure”.

Alozie further charged Nigerians to stop criminalising the Fulani ethnic group, saying every group has evil elements and as such criminals should be called out for what they are and not generalising the whole ethnic group.

He added: “We should channel that energy in voting in the right people and that will take the nation forward.”
