Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin, has dispelled the rumours making the rounds that the Open Rearing and Grazing Bill 2019, which has passed the second reading at the House, is meant to witch-hunt the Fulani and make life and business unbearable for them in the state.

Ogundoyin, who spoke yesterday while reacting to insinuation that the bill was an attempt by the House of Assembly to jeopardise the economic activities of the Fulani in the state, said the bill was meant to prevent destruction of farms and property by cows, prevent clashes between livestock owners and farmers, as well as protect the environment from degradation and pollution caused by open rearing and grazing.
