Anxiety over reported kidnap of IMT Enugu student

A student of the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Enugu, identified as Stanley Ogwo, was on Thursday, reportedly kidnapped on his way to school.
Sources said the OND final student was abducted in a commercial bus he boarded from his residence to school.
Although further details of the incident could not be secured as at press time, close family sources, however, said the abductors had contacted the family.
Father of the victim Mr. Godwin Ogwo, a staff of Radio Nigeria Enugu, said the bandits contacted him through his son’s handset.
“They merely asked if we are ready to comply; I was confused and I switched off the phone,” he said.
Efforts, yesterday, to get Police confirmation on the development proved abortive.
The family, however, said the matter had been reported to the police.
