APC guber candidate wins at Gbenga Daniel’s polling unit
Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has been announced the winner at the former Ogun State governor, Gbenga Daniel, Olukokun polling unit, Isote, Makun, Sagamu.
Daniel, the Director General of Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation for the 2019 presidential election, had on Thursday endorsed Abiodun.
He said he endorsed the APC candidate because of the failure of Ladi Adebutu to secure the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party.
Daniel is a two-term governor of the state from 2003-2011.
In the polling unit, the APC candidate polled 150 votes, the PDP scored 13 votes while APM got 96 votes.
At Ita-Osanyin polling, Abiodun’s polling unit, APC got 240 votes, while the second distant party, APM, polled 71.
PDP got just 5 votes in the unit.
