Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has commended Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, for his leadership of the committee, which intervened to sustain cordial relationship among the Arewa in Lagos State led by Aminu Dogara.

Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has commended Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, for his leadership of the committee, which intervened to sustain cordial relationship among the Arewa in Lagos State led by Aminu Dogara.

National President of AYCF, Yerima Shettima, yesterday, described Ganduje’s peace moves as “exemplary leadership that promotes peaceful co-existence and stability” that began over a century ago in Lagos.

Shettima said: “Every effort to sustain the peace and tranquility in the Arewa Community should enjoy the support of all Nigerians of good conscience.”

According to the Northern group, Ganduje’s effort will “crush all mischief-makers, betrayers and fifth columnists of Lagos, who have been losing sleep just because there is peace in Arewa Community of Lagos.”

It urged the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to call on one of his commissioners to order over his use of derogatory language against Ganduje, “who, by virtue of his age, not for just being a governor, deserves our respect.”
