Bagudu spends over N376b on road construction in Kebbi

Briefing journalists yesterday, in Birnin Kebbi, the Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Abubakar Ladan said the road projects were executed across the state since 2015 to date, adding that more are underway for approval.

Ladan said the Jega township road from the Police station to Mal Abbas Jega house, awarded at the sum of N582, 084,171.35 has been completed, while construction of access roads and outfall drainage at T/wada township road awarded at the sum of N859, 310,846.35 is also completed.

He explained that the 5.3km Zuru township roads were constructed and completed with the sum of N963, 087,989.06, while the construction of Bubuce – Bayawa roads in Augie Council was also constructed with the sum of N1, 016,391,091,81.

The commissioner also disclosed that another road from Bunza to Gwade in Bunza council was also awarded at the sum of N1, 032,884,985.30, while roads from Makera to Kangiwa, awarded at the total sum of N1, 880,539.06 were completed.

HE said: “I can’t mention them all, but areas like Kaoje-Lafagu, including Kaoge township were also constructed and completed, construction of Besse-Samanaji roads, Kalgo township road, Inwala Dumbegu, Maiyama and Sambawa township roads were also constructed and completed,” he added.
