In a laudable endeavor, Castlenet Consulting Limited has provided intensive training in basic computing skills to 16 teenagers from the Karakata Charity Foundation, paving the way for a more inclusive and tech-driven future.

Having amassed over a decade of experience in delivering cutting-edge IT solutions to clients across the nation, Castlenet Consulting Limited is now extending its expertise to empower youths in its local community.

The company’s executives ardently underscore the significance of equipping these teenagers with computer skills, thereby ushering them into the realm of boundless opportunities presented by the digital landscape.

As one of Castlenet’s executives articulated, “This program offers a gateway to the fascinating world of computers and technology, providing these young individuals with the essential knowledge to achieve remarkable feats, much like their peers worldwide.”

The six-day training, conducted from August 21 to September 1, 2023, covered a range of topics, including Word Processing and Document Creation, Spreadsheet and Data Handling, and Digital Presentations, among others. This comprehensive curriculum equipped the teenagers with the computing skills needed to spark a deep interest in technology.

Reflecting upon the program’s success, a Tech Expert from Castlenet Consulting Limited, who served as one of the program’s facilitators, lauded the experience, stating, “It was a highly impactful training experience. Witnessing the teenagers commence at a modest pace and observing their remarkable progress and newfound abilities has been a source of immense gratification.”

The culmination of the training featured an inspiring address from one of Castlenet’s Executives, encouraging the teenagers not to shy away from applying their newfound knowledge. The Executive emphasized that the world eagerly awaits their contributions, and Castlenet Consulting Limited looks forward to witnessing their future accomplishments.

To celebrate their notable accomplishments, the teenagers were treated to a delightful and entertaining playground excursion at Rufus and Bee.

Mrs. Ijeoma Ejiofor Ukpong, the Co-Founder of the Karakata Charity Foundation, expounded upon the organization’s mission, affirming, “Our goal is to inspire and empower the children and young adults of the Itedo Community. We aim to expose them to diverse vocational experiences, foster self-empowerment, and facilitate internship opportunities. Through this partnership, we believe we can make significant strides toward achieving these objectives.”

This initiative aligns with Castlenet’s shared value initiatives, including an annual paid internship program initiated in 2021. The program selects and trains young individuals across various departments for six months. As of now, Castlenet Consulting Limited has successfully trained two batches of interns; with the most exceptional talents being offered permanent positions within the company.
