A Niger State High Court 6 has ordered the arrest of the Managing Director of Polaris Bank, Omokayode Lawal and the Minna Branch manager for contempt of court.

The presiding judge, Justice Maimuna Abubakar, issued the arrest order Tuesday after the defendants failed to honour the court summons following an allegation of tax evasion to the tune of more than N1 billion.

The Niger State Internal Revenue Service had filed its case through Muhammad Ndayako against the defendants.
