Justice Josephine Oyefeso of Lagos High Court, Ikeja, has threatened to issue bench warrant against James Amore, a businessman, over alleged theft of goods worth N1 billion.

Amore was to be arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside Thompson Omoietan, Adeleke Lasun, Funmilola Oyerinde and Adegoke Shadrack for allegedly stealing N1 billion petroleum products from the United Bank for Africa (UBA).

The anti-graft agency slammed a three-count charge against the five suspects, alleging that they committed the offences in September 2011 alongside 13 others who are at large.

They were said to have forged documents titled Supervisory Discharge Certificate addressed to the Managing Director of Menol Oil and Gas.

She subsequently adjourned till May 28, 2019 for arraignment.
