Delta community youths appeal for road rehabilitation
Youth leaders (the Olotu) in Ute-Okpu Kingdom, Ika North-East Council of Delta State, have appealed to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to address the challenges facing the community, particularly the construction of Owerre/Elugu Road, to ameliorate the sufferings of the people.
Head of the Olotu, Mr. Olivet Udumeh, made the appeal when members of the apex community youth body visited the chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the state, Michael Ikeogwu, at his Ute-Okpu home in Ika North-East.
Udumeh, who described the Owerre/Elugu road as the busiest internal road in Ika, said the call became imperative as the road had become a death trap for farmers and other commuters who ply it.
