The Edo Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has mobilised 950 personnel across the state to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration.
Mr Cyril Matthew, State Sector Commander of the corps, said this on Thursday in Benin.
According to him, the deployed personnel include 513 regular marshals and 437 special marshals.
“The command will also set up mobile courts in the three senatorial districts of the state.
“Aside from the personnel, the command also deployed three patrol vans, 18 vehicles, two trucks, five vehicles, three ambulances and two power bikes,” he said.
Mathew said the aim was to ensure safety and reduce crashes during the festivities.
The FRSC boss enjoined drivers and other road users to adhere strictly to road traffic rules and regulations to avoid road crashes.
He said that the special patrol team would be on the road controlling traffic from April 18 to April 23, to ensure that all parts of the state were covered.
