Eggon monarch, Angbazo, dies at 89

Confirming the development to journalists, yesterday, in Lafia, the first born of the deceased and Dangaladima Eggon, James Angbazo, said that the paramount ruler died, yesterday, while battling a prolonged illness.
The Aren of Eggon, Nasarawa State, Bala Angbazo, has passed on. He died at 89 years after 41 years on the throne.
Confirming the development to journalists, yesterday, in Lafia, the firstborn of the deceased and Dangaladima Eggon, James Angbazo, said that the paramount ruler died, yesterday while battling a prolonged illness.
The monarch was born in Wakama District of Nasarawa-Eggon Local Council in 1933 and ascended the throne on July 11, 1981.
Sympathisers, including traditional rulers, have been trooping to the palace of the late monarch at Nasarawa Eggon to pay condolences.
According to the deceased’s son, burial details will be announced in due course.
