Eighth general assembly of MUSWEN holds in Lagos today

The eighth General Assembly of Muslim Ummah Of South-West, Nigeria (MUSWEN) holds today in Lagos at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) JF Ade Ajayi Main Auditorium. Its President, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo said: ‘’This is the first time the Assembly would be holding outside its Ibadan Secretariat since its inception in 2018, and  the Lagos State Muslim community would be the first among the six states’ stakeholders of the organisation to host MUSWEN .’’

The Chairman, Local Organising Committee, Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti, said the programme would start at 8.00am with a free medical screening, while Lagos State Deputy Governor,  Dr Obafemi Hamzat, would deliver a keynote address on the theme: “Rebuilding Unity: The quest for justice, fairness and equity in a multi-religious society.”

The Assembly tagged “Lagos 2023” will be graced by prominent Muslim leaders across the South West Region and beyond. The epoch-making event is also designed to brief the ummah on the ongoing  MUSWEN International Entrepreneurship Centre and other projects.
