Emmanuel seeks media support for his completion agenda
AkwaIbom State Governor Udom Emmanuel has solicited the support of the media towards the success of his development agenda for the state.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Ekerete Udoh, while speaking with correspondents of newspapers at the weekend, said the support of the media was needed for the governor’s second term completion agenda. Udoh, who had been re-appointed by the governor, acknowledged the contributions of the media community in Akwa Ibom, which he said, “melted the drumbeat of war-saw as envisaged by politicians in the state.”
According to him, prior to the general elections, some politicians in the state had stoked embers of hatred, but thanked journalists in the state for de-emphasising the cries for war in their reportage.Meanwhile, Chairman of the chapel, Mr. Aniefiok Udonquak, congratulated the Chief Press Secretary on his reappointment and called for an improvement in the approach to information management by media managers in the state.
