Ex-gov Ajimobi urges cooperation with Makinde
Immediate past Governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi has urged Moslems in Oyo State to cooperate with Governor Seyi Makinde and continue to pray for the country as they mark the end of Ramadan.
A statement issued by his spokesman, Bolaji Tunji, quoted Ajimobi, who is in Mecca for the lesser Hajj, as saying that the season should be used for sober reflection, while charging Nigerians to continue to show tolerance and togetherness.
Ajimobi charged Moslems to continually reflect on the lessons of Ramadan by maintaining the virtues associated with the holy month.
“I urge the Oyo people to accord the same cooperation to Governor Makinde. Irrespective of party affiliations, Oyo will always be a beneficiary of good things.”
The good of the state is the joy of every citizen and that is our prayer,” he stated.
