Ex-Gov Nnamani’s mother dies at 85, to be buried in U.S.
The mother of former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu State, Mrs. Elizabeth Nnamani, has passed on at 85 years of age.
The former governor, now representing Enugu East in the Senate, disclosed this in a statement, yesterday.
Mrs. Nnamani will be buried in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States of America (U.S.A.), where she died, according to her wish while alive.
Many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive her.
Nnamani added that the traditional funeral rites would be held in her hometown, Ojiagu, Agbani, Nkanu East Council of Enugu on a date to be announced later.
The senator prayed to God to grant his mother eternal rest and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
